About the Conference
The conference is preceded by one day of free tutorials for participants who wish to learn state of the art of research relating to the topics of KMO and LTEC. The tutorials will be held on the 24th of August 2026. The conference itself commences on the 25th of August 2026.

The rapid proliferation of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) — including large language models, autonomous intelligent agents, and multimodal content creation systems — is reshaping the fundamentals of knowledge creation, management, and dissemination. This transformation compels a critical re-examination of established theoretical foundations, methodological approaches, and organizational practices. At stake is not only how knowledge is acquired, organized, and used, but also how digital intelligence intersects with sustainability, ethical governance, and societal resilience.
In an era marked by climate urgency, resource constraints, and the pursuit of equitable digital futures, GenAI demands that scholars interrogate not only epistemic shifts but also the environmental, social, and ethical implications of knowledge systems. This conference calls for interdisciplinary dialogue bridging knowledge management (KM), sustainability studies, cognitive science, information systems, organizational theory, and computer science. We invite scholars to explore how generative technologies transform knowledge processes, human–AI co-creation, and the governance of knowledge in support of sustainable, just, and responsible organizational ecosystems.

This conference seeks to establish a forward-looking scholarly agenda that integrates generative intelligence, sustainability, and human-centred knowledge theory. We aim to advance knowledge management beyond technical advancement toward ethical, ecological, epistemic, and societal inquiry. By reconceptualizing KM in the generative AI era, we aspire to shape the next generation of knowledge science — one that supports human flourishing, climate resilience, and sustainable global knowledge ecosystems.
Papers should contain original contributions not published or submitted elsewhere and referenced to related state-of-the-artwork.
Tutorial Proposal
In addition to the conference, there will be pre-conference tutorials relating to the state of the art in the topics of the conference.

Instruction for Authors
Papers reporting original and unpublished research results pertaining to the above topics are solicited. Full paper and all submissions deadlines are 10th February 2026. These papers will undergo an academic review process. Full paper manuscripts must be in English with a maximum length of 12 pages. All papers are blind reviewed.
IMPORTANT: Please do not include the author(s) information in the FIRST submission of the paper, for double-blind review to be carried out.
Review Process
KMO 2026 welcomes the submission of papers with reference to the topics listed in the call for papers. All submitted papers will undergo a double-blind peer review by at least three experts in the field, based on relevance, originality, significance, quality and clarity.
Submitting Papers
All papers must be formatted, with a maximum length of 12 pages, including figures and references. All proposed papers must be submitted in electronic form (WORD file) using the Paper Submission Page

Publication
Accepted papers will be included in KMO 2026 Proceedings. At least one of the authors will be required to register and attend the symposium to present the paper in order to include the paper in the conference proceedings.
Special Issue
Authors of selected papers will be invited to extend and revise their papers to be submitted to a special issue of International Journal of Web Engineering and Technology (IJWET) published by Inderscience.
